Eat, sleep, save, repeat

This is the story of three unprecedented months at Northwick Park Hospital in north-west London. It is one of many NHS Trusts where front-line staff had to withstand levels of pressure and anxiety that, not a long ago, would have been considered exceptional even for a very busy hospital.

There are plenty of similar stories, up and down the country, in the healthcare and social care.

Now that the pressure has eased a bit, the key question is how to support burnt out staff to transition to the next normal, whatever it might be, preventing a potential PTSD tsunami.

We believe that developing Recovery Champions, in particular amongst first-line managers, is a key part of the answer. We are therefore launching a very innovative and cost effective way to do so, through a 9-week program soon to be available to all health+care organisations
