At last! We are delighted to publish the results of this insightful survey on care worker retention, in partnership with the UKHCA.
234 home care providers kindly took part in the survey, in December 2019. It is particularly interesting to read the results of the survey through the lens of what we have since learnt, from the pandemic.
Pressure, anxiety and the stress of a very challenging profession have impacted care worker resilience – and retention – well before Covid-19. Now the pandemic has brought these issues to the fore.
The good news is that they are all addressable factors. Improving pay and reward, if at all affordable, will not be enough. We need to transform how we look after our workforce, through investment in care worker wellbeing, support and personal development.
A big thank you to all 234 respondents and the amazing team at the UKHCA!
