Experiential learning focuses on the process of learning rather than just on the learning outcomes. The measure of success for experiential learning goes beyond the acquisition of new knowledge, towards achieving behavioural change and transformation.
Peer support is key to a participant's experience.
Participants engage with the program by connecting with other participants. From the moment of their enrolment, they're welcomed to the program with a friendly call from one of our team who creates a space for the participant to be acknowledged and have any questions answered.
Whilst on the program, participants will be assigned two practice partners from within the cohort. Together, they share the learning and development journey, supporting each other along the way by meeting weekly to engage in the bridging assignments and catch up together. We invite every one to share generously in each program session, frequently using break out rooms for further peer-lead learning. In addition to the interactive, remote sessions, participants are invited to join their cohort's closed WhatsApp group for further engagement.
'I was surprised by how positive an impact my practice partnership had, and just what a difference it made to me.'

Narrative Transformation
Narrative is the story, or collection of stories we use to define, understand, or explain our own lives and the lives of others. As stories, they are open to interpretation and can be rethought, reimagined, and recreated at any point. Transformation is this process of recreation:
- it is not new knowledge or information - it is a new way of thinking and seeing
- it is not a change in circumstances - but a re-orientation of your experience of life and the way you live it
- it is a shift in perception - a fundamental rotation of what you think is possible for you, your work, relationships, and life
- it brings access to living a life of possibility and fulfilling your potential
The combination of these key elements is what makes the Talent for Care journey unique, effective, and ultimately very enjoyable, leading to outstanding outcomes.
Interactive and Engaging
We invite all participants to engage as active co-creators of the program. Everything shared has value, and nothing shared is wrong.
‘Very interactive, always inclusive and non-judgmental’
Developing Healthcare Talent Participant, November 2022
We continue to adapt our program’s accessibility to different learning types, considering those that learn through listening, through visualising, through doing; and for those that need materials in advance of sessions.
We are committed to listening to, and learning about, how we can continue to improve our programs and support everyone to fully participate.
